Finnish Development Policy Committee hosted the publication event of Forum for Development Studies Special Issue on Nordic aid. In this issue, five Nordic researchers delve into domestic politics to explain why development policy and the commitment to aid have taken different routes. In fact, the four Nordics were more similar aid donors in 1990 than they are in 2022. In this joint launch, the team presents the findings of a joint comparative article as well as shares highlights from each of the country studies. The event concluded with a panel on the future of Nordic aid. This interactive section also touched upon the more recent domestic policy changes in the Nordic countries and their possible impact on aid.
